Vodafone Contract

Hi guys,

I have a 24 month vodafone contract that im around 6-8 months into. Before this contract I was in another 24 month contract and then they rang me to upgrade and gave me a good deal which I said yes to. Ever since they I literally get no signal anywhere, barely any internet coverage at all or just no signal what so ever. It has gradually got worse and worse - To the point of relying on wifi at work to be able to actually use the phone at all (I work for a mobile phone company so I know there is nothing wrong with the handset)

Im currently paying £41 a month for 750mb of internet and I reckon in the months I have had the contract I dont think I have even used that in total let alone in a month.

Where do I actually stand in this as they are charging me for a service im literally not getting, I have complained about the lack of 3G signal before to which they replied that they dont guarantee a 3G signal but just a "data" signal.

Ideally im looking at ending the contract early and not having to pay anything and go with a provider that actually gives a service for what im paying for

what are my chances?

Maybe its your phone thats the problem.

if you had a previous 24 month contract and it worked fine then i dont think its vodafones problem unless they have removed some signal masts. Why dont you do a 3g or a signal check on there site.

I do wonder if the turned down the power of the transmitters around here also.

I used to get a great signal. But seemed to get people saying they tried to call me but it failed to connect. I would get texts saying i had missed calls when the phone was next to me on the table all the time.

At first i thought it was a repair in progress issue. But the signal since then has dropped.

Had to switch to GSM only. Which made the internet very slow. But at least the calls connected.

  • I know it's not the phone as my previous contract used to give me issues of no service and no 3G but just not as often where as now it's just not even funny
