Can't get mike working on messenger

I've chatted to people all over the world using msn messenger until recently. Suddenly I can't get anyone to hear me! It works fine with Yahoo messenger but not msn! Tried Wizards and adjusted everything I can think of! Any ideas? (By the way, I installed XP SP2 then uninstalled it and maybe that caused problems? Should I put it back on... it made my computer much slower!)

I understand SP2 installs the Windows Firewall automatically...praps that is interfering with your mic. I don't use the Windows firewall, I have Zone Alarm instead but always have to turn it off temporarily to use the mic with MSN Messenger!♥♥♥ Genius - 1% inspiration and 99% doing what your mother told you. ♥♥♥0
