PC to Printer Problem

Hi,
I am currently trying to print a page but it says there is a communication problem between the printer and the pc.
Have tried troubleshooting but no joy.
Any help gratefully received.

What is the Printer, How is it Connected, What Version of Windows, and what are you trying to print from Word/Browser/PDF ...let us see if we can divine where the problem is .....computing....please wait.....Aaah the troubleshooter is asleep....4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Lexmark printer, USB, XP and PDF.
And that is the total extent of my knowledge!0 -
If you got to start then printers and faxes, right click the printer to clear the print queue, see if it runs then. If not and the print queue is clear, try right clicking the printer, then printer properties, print test page.
If no change, check the print queue is clear then restart the PC and try to print something from Word etc.
