is employer car lease scheme value for money?

Hi - we can now benefit from a scheme at work where we can lease a car and the payment goes out before tax and NIS.

the net cost to me for a peugeout 107 / citroen C1 or toyota aygo is approx £165 a month and this covers insurance, tax, all repairs etc. This is for 36 months and then you get the option to buy or hand the car back....

I currently drive an 11 year old ford fiesta which is on its way out I think. It has 11 months MOT and tax on it so it would sell for approx £400...

what do people think.

Calculate it it out versus your other options and see which is cheapest.

But the big advantage of this deal is, you have (hopefully) a reliable, hassle free car at what is probably a fairish price. That can be quite valuable and only you can calculate how much that is worth to you.

You need to carefully check the t&cs of the lease but with some every small scratch when you returned the car can cost you £00s as other threads on here will attest to.
