what are the rules for house building in your own garden

  • if you look at new estates even big detached houses are often separated by 1or2 standard garden gates, only 1-2 m away.

    all properties here are bungalows and none have dormers.

    I wouldnt mind a wooden house but a bit better than a shed after all the americans, australians etc build all wood houses.

    I have a splendid shed its about 15oo sq ft, but we have a house attached. Strangely it seems as if we spend a lot of time in the shed and keep the house for when people come ... :)

    Timber framed housing has been round a lot longer than bricks and mortar, if you leave out caves that is :)
