Does anyone else think this shop has gone horribly downhill since its big overhaul?
I went in today to find row upon row of lurid, cheap looking underwear, and they now only sell up to DD cup bras! I used to shop there all the time for pretty, long lasting bras in larger sizes but needless to say I won't be going back again.

I agree, last time I went in it was full of bright pink/orange/yellow bras and couldn't find anything in my size (I'm a hefty...well, larger than a DD put it that way...)
Back to Debenhams I go..."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I also think its far more expensive than it used to be so I couldn't afford to buy anything even if I managed to find something I liked in the right size!0

Yup, has gone from slightly-posher-boutiquey feel to cheap n dirty discount store. Horrible. And the range was so tacky!0

I haven't bought anything in there for years! Since having kids I like my comfy M&S undies! lol
Do they still put the little scented beads in the bag and wrap the bras in tissue paper? I used to love all that.... it really made the purchase seem extra special!I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!
I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!0 -
I bought two bras from them two months ago. Both are broken with the wire popping through the fabric. When I'm paying £15 odd per bra I expect it to last more than two months> Back to my nice cotton M&S pack of two for £9.50!0

Also of the larger persuasion here. I tend to go to Bravissimo (luckily an actual shop nearish to where I live). Never seem to find much range in Debenhams.

Urgh, I used to hate those. I always forgot about them, opened the bag when I got home and ended up chasing little beads all over the floor."So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -
I totally agree as to how they have changed with the quality, pricing and sizing.
No longer the larger cup sizes so off back to good old faithful M&S..
but what gets my goat is a bra of standard size.. say A to DD 32 to 36 is relevently cheap in any store along with your larger back sizes.. how ever.. start looking into the smaller back larger cup.. such as 32 G ( yes I have just given my boob size away ) you have to pay a fortune for ? why?
Does it really cost more in production time ? more material cost? extra transprtation cost and time?.. dont think so so why the extra cost??
I know other stores have ventured into these sizes but the fit is all wrong.. have tried many stores to no avail!!
We are pemailised for having big boobies!!!!0 -
I remember buying some underwear in La Senza, they asked me if I needed any bras, when I told them they didn't stock my size, they said, 'you sure?' I said I was a 34 or 36 in a large cup size and they said 'you're not that back size, I'm a 38 (she was skinnier than me). I found this a bit patronising and insulting, by under bust is the skinniest part of me. How can they tell me I'm not a bra size through my winter coat!
I shop in Bravissimo usually and they try bras on by how it fits, as oppose to measurements. So I tend to shop there, either there or Debenhams if they have my size. The one on Oxford Street has a wide range including some of the same brands in Bravissimo.0 -
Glad I'm a bloke, pack of 5 underpants, medium, sorted.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

We are! You can get a bra in Primark for a couple of quid !!!!!!! Not that I'd trust a bra from Primark, mind you. But try and get one for a 32G (I'm the same size), and you're looking at about four or five times that!"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."
