Hi,
We are very interested in purchasing a property on this site.
We know the area well so no problems there and have chosen the Oxford style which will best suit our family needs and price range.
Just looking for any redrow reviews, both good and bad.
We will be paying 100% cash - should we try and haggle the price - how much realistically do you think we could knock the price down by?
Would appreciate any guidance on this matter.
Vicki

As a cash purchaser, you have got quite a lot of bargaining power. There will be a minimum of £10k discount I'd say, possibly more.
What are the Oxford house types selling for on this development out of interest?0 -
Hi,
They haven't released a price for them yet - but imagine they will be around the £250k mark - oxford is slightly larger than the Windsor currently 239995 but smaller than the Cambridge 279995 - The actual plot we want won't be ready for 12/18 months so they won't let me put a deposit down yet.... :-(0 -
Redrow are like all the mass house builders - the quality varies from site to site and a lot depends on how good the site manager is. You should get a professional snagging company look over the house.
I don't know if you have lived in a similar style house before but from my experience the bedroom above the garage is often much colder than the other bedrooms.0 -

Is this intended as a retirement property for you? Are you intending to stay 'forever' or as a stepping stone to something bigger etc?0
