Scottish Power Fixed March 2014 question
I rang up to change my Gas/Elec service to the Fixed March 2014 last week.
I just checked my online account and it says that I have transferred to the service "Online Energy - Standard (No Standing Charge)".
Is this the same product as Fixed March 2014 or have they made a mistake?
Thanks

Yes, they have made a mistake - The full title of the account you wanted is
"Online Fixed Price Energy March 2014" - Despite this offering fixed prices for 18 months, it is still considerably cheaper than the 'Standard' tariff
Get back onto ScotPower quickly - Note the name of the Service Desk person you speak to and the time of your call.
Hopefully that person will assure you that it will all be put right, but when the call is over, confirm to Scot Power by Email the result of your conversation.0 -

We took over a supply from Scottish Power and I have been amazed by their arrogance and ignorance when dealing with their customers. Ours was a simple question..."why are we getting bills for hundreds of pounds for an address that doesnt exsist?" Two lots of mail to two wrong addresses to be precise. As we live out in the middle of knowhere with only two other houses close by, its shouldnt have been a problem. But its taken 5 months to get it right. Talking to their customer services people is a nightmare they are unbelivably rude. I will never go near them again, and would advise others to avoid them. Cheaper energy is one thing, but bad customer service is a real put-off:(0

Take a zero tolerance approach to customer service failure by making a formal complaint on the first occasion you are not 100% satisfied with a customer service outcome.lynnissa wrote:.. Its taken 5 months to get it right.
They will hate you for it because it is potentially costly and demanding of their time. You might even get a good will payment (for upsetting them).
Do not delay 5 months.0 -
I have been with Scottish powerr for over 4 years and have never had a problem,in fact i am about to get my mums supply changed to them as they are cheaper than where she is.Customer Service are always helpful and polite. So it's a shame that some people have had a bad experience with them.0

I have been with Scottish power for some time. I cant fault their customer service.
I am having problems with them around competence of their Boiler service folks.
So if you are on Gas/Power I think they are ok - though if you are planning boiler cover from them - a strong NO:j nnnnnnnnn.......0
