Free SMS gateway?

I want to send 30 or 40 texts a month directly from my website, but since I'm on MSE I don't want to have to pay for them.

I'm not talking about using Cardboardfish or any other service where I'd need to type the information into a form on their site - I want to use an http request to send the text directly using data drawn from my website database.

Anyone know of such a service, perhaps a free trial which would cover my usage, or one where they append adverts to the texts?

Well when you fill in the forms and click send the data from the form is POSTED to some place, mabye worth trying to look at the page source to figure out where the data is sent and how its sent and then you can pair that up with your database with a bit a tinkering you should be able to send messages without filling in a form.

Might help to get a local proxy server so you can intercept the messages and really see whats being sent to where and what replies are sent back.

Thanks, but I think all the free web based sms services are fully aware that they could be exploited this way, and so have a number of ways of making sure you're using the system only in the way they want - anyway I'd rather find a more legit method if possible.
