Are CICA okay

Recently had a cold call from an insurance firm which was new to me - Metlife - to tell me that the CICA are having problems and that my accident insurance may no longer be as good as I thought, and I could find myself at least short changed if I need to make a claim.
Now is he just trying to get my custom, or is there any truth to this.
I have had a yearly statement of my policies from the CICA so presumably they are still solvent. Or am I just being very naive

CICA plans are rarely good value. They tend to retail cash cows rather than quality options.
I didnt think Metlife had a direct sales force. However, you should never buy direct from insurer. So, rule it out. If you want to check on the suitability of what you have then your choices should either be to use an IFA or DIY.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
