Enable file sharing over the network for a folder in the Shared documents area on the XP machine, and for one in the PUblic folder on the Vista machine.
move files to and from these folders on each machine, and between the two machines via these folders0 -
6.7 is less than 8!!

Move the loads of things on the pendrive off.
copy the 6.7 GB file on, copy the file to the machine you want it on
then move the loads of things back to the pendrive,
If the "loads of things" are important, it is a good idea to keep the master copy on a hard disk anyway, and use flash for backup
you also may be able to zip the data, to make it smaller, unless it's a compressed video or music
if it is one file of that size, it will need to be save on an ntfs formatted disk!!

Thanks
I guess i will have to do it that way, i just thought there might be an easier/faster way doing it via the network.
