Unlink an email address from another person's Yahoo account?

I set up an email address in Yahoo for another person and when it asked for a non-Yahoo email address I entered my own. When I attempted to remove my email address I got the following message "You must maintain at least one non-Yahoo email address on file with this account. Please add another email address, before deleting this one."
How do I get around this?

make a hotmail or a gmail email account for the other person and use that address to replace yours, then give both email accounts to the other person.
unless they need a yahoo account for flickr then hotmail and gmail are generally regarded as better email accounts with their much better spam protection.0 -
