I have just sold some goods for cash on collection. they are large and will need ppl to pick them up. however, the user who won created their account on the day the auction ended, has 0 feedback and what looks like a made up email. would you still sell to this person ? my only concern is i'd be letting them into the house

Why not? If you sold it anywhere else you wouldn't even have that info about them.
Just keep your fingers crossed they are going to pay cash though- my only worry would be someone who is expecting to pay by paypal knowing you can't refuse, and if it is a throw away account they have nothing at all to lose if you refuse to sell and they neg you.

why? If someone is going to scam they are unlikely to turn up pay cash and take stuff away and then be frightened by a signed receipt.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
