Buyer left neg at same time as contacting me.

I was informed that I had sent out a package with a piece missing. The buyer did not tell me which piece was missing just that they were not happy. I responded immediately asking what was missing and saying I would send it out first class.
They haven't replied but have left me a negative saying item sent with piece missing.
I have searched for the topic of feedback removal/revision but keep getting conflicting info.
What is the current situation if I can make my seller happy?

Your only real option is to send the missing part, maybe a note along with it apologising.
Then if the buyer is happy with the service, you can ask them to revise their feedback. If the buyer doesn't want to do that, then not a lot else you can do.

In the mean time leave a reply on the neg, apologising for the error and that you have sent the missing part. That at least shows others that you made a genuine mistake0 -
Yes, I have sent it along with a few other useful bits free if charge.
I have looked at the time of the message and the feedback - they were in the same minute!
Regarding the stars they might have trashed - would they get the opportunity to revise them as well?0 -
If they revise feedback, they can revise the stars aswell.0

UPDATE:
I got it sorted and the buyer asked if they could change the feedback. I sent a feedback revision request which they accepted.
It took about 45 minutes for the system to update and I was back to 100%. Yippee!0
