House Hunting? Take a compass.

If you're house hunting, take a compass with you.
House/property details may state 'south facing garden' but if you carry a compass, you can be certain.
When we were buying our house, we used a compass to be certain that the garden was south facing. We also chose our house because it has a south facing bathroom. So, when we turn the central heating off.......the bathroom is still warm.
The master bedroom is north facing, so when there's a (rare:rolleyes: ) summer heat wave......the bedroom is cool.

Good points!
Also, try and get a North facing kitchen - you'll thank me for that when you're cooking in the summer
