Is it really true that Alan Sugar, Richard Branson, Peter Jones and Simon Cowell were all Bankrupt in the past?

Was it individual Bankruptcies or were companies just put into liquidation.

Also purely out of interest did they petition for their own Bankruptcies or did a creditor petition them?

Don't know the individual details, script, although they will be publicly available in the London Gazette.

However, their professional names might not be their real names, under which they would have had to petition, or be petitioned, for bankruptcy.

I dont think so, according to the register it looks like she is getting automatic discharge on the 21st

I haven't checked (to be honest I don't know how to), but I'm guessing it was a while ago and they won't still be in the Gazette?

It would be "reassuring" for the rest of us to know that high profile "celebs" were in the B/R position.

Kind of helps put thinks in perceptive doesn't it?

A bit of googling, and can't find evidence for Alan Sugar, Peter Jones or Richard Branson. Widely reported that Simon Cowell did go bankrupt in the 1980's though.

Alan Sugar was nearly bankrupt and doesn't think there is any shame in being BR. Perhaps we should pester him for jobs!!!

Didn't think Richard Branson was though?
