Family Legal Protection Insurance

Hi there
Does anyone know of any reputable company offering standalone family legal protection insurance?
I was looking at BestUK Advice, but while they seem to be accepting payment for new policies via their website, they have been struck off (dissolved) from Companies House...
My husband and I took out home insurance a few weeks ago. We would prefer to have the household legal expenses insurance as a separate policy rather than being attached to home insurance.
Thanks.

The legal expenses policy that you would have with your home insurance is usually treated as a separate policy anyway - ie won't affect your no claims if you need to use it.
Many home insurers use a different / specialist underwriter to the main home policy so they are not attached.
What is the reason that you don't want to take this cover with your main insurer?0 -

Thanks, Scarlett.
That is exactly the reason behind my seeking standalone cover.
Also, because I have read it is usually a lot cheaper.
I didn't opt for the legal cover when taking out my home insurance this year, so would now need to consider a standalone policy.0 -
You wont find it much cheaper standalone - FLP attached to home insurance tends to be fairly good cover and not resold at a massive profit unlike Motor which is 110% or more profit for the insurer.0

I've found this one from LawShield Direct:
[can't put direct urls in here, apparently]

Anyone know of them?0
