Scottish Power Fixed Deal - Have I made a mistake?

Hi,
I think that I may have made a mistake. I was looking at the MSE article about gas & electric tariffs. I am currently tied in with Npower but thought that I would just pay the exit fee and transfer to the 'Scottish Power* 28 Feb 2014 fix'.

There is a direct link on the MSE website but I thought that I would go via Quidco as it was paying £40 cashback (enough to cover the nPower exit fee).

Anyway I saw what I thought was the same tariff on there and just this minute signed up. It wasn't until I had done it that I saw this tariff was fixed until March 2014.

Can anyone help or know if this is still as good as the 'Scottish Power* 28 Feb 2014 fix' one as I have no way of telling?

Many thanks

March 2014 is fixed till 28th Feb 2014.

But on Quidco it should have expired on 30 Sep, two days ago.

    Under Expired Offers:

New Online Fixed Price Energy - prices fixed until February 28th 2014 (Terms and conditions)
    Start date: 24 Sep 2012Expired: 30 Sep 2012

So they may or may not accept your application.

D'oh,thanks for your reply. So is it the same tariff that Martin was recommending but I may miss out on the quidco?

November 2013 had £70 cashback through MSE, available for maybe 6 weeks, expired 31st August. Replaced by

January 2014 had £42 Cashback through Quidco, available for two weeks from 1st SEP. Replaced by

March 2014, also about two weeks, about £55 Cashback through Quidco. Expired 30th September.

Unit rate appears to be the same for November 2013 and January 2014, but November had more cashback, whereas January is fixed two months longer. March 2014 is about £50 more for medium consumption.

In retrospect, I could have started the switch earlier and gone for November 2013, and the £70 cashback, but I couldn't believe E.On would just sit there like a dead turkey, and bring out something more competitive.

MSE has been calling you to fix in all three cases.
