Rental deposit in DPS, when to request it back?

Good morning all
Quick question about our deposit - when should I request it back from DPS? Immediately after leaving? After check-out inspection?
Background Info, which might be irrelevant:
The tenancy started in July last year, and we moved out last weekend (all notices correctly given, LL has new tenants lined up, they acknowledge receipt of all keys, so no problems there). Our deposit was protected by DPS, I have repayment IDs and reference numbers, but we were never given the "prescribed information". There was a dual-signed inventory taken at the start of the tenancy.
The property was managed by a LA. We were not able to attend the check-out inspection because we were re-locating, and the LA could not conduct the inspection before, or on, the day the tenancy ended. We've given forwarding address and meter readings etc. to the LAs. The LA has said the inspection will take place "shortly", and then they'll be in touch to "notify us of deductions from your bond". As far as I can see they have no grounds to keep any of our deposit - the house was spotless when we moved out (and cleaner than when we moved in, as we noted on the dual-signed inventory) and they never gave us the prescribed information.
But anyway - I suppose something might come up in the checkout inspection that we might agree we're liable for. So should I wait until after the check-out inspection to request my deposit back from DPS, or do this immediately?
Thanks for any advice

You should have been given the opportunity to attend the checkout, you should have taken your own photographs to protect yourself. I would request the bond back immediately on the grounds that you were not given the prescribed information. Remember if there is a dispute that is with your landlord not the letting agent.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Okay - thanks Firefox.
We took lots of photographs of the property and gardens when we left, and as I say I don't think the LL will have grounds to deduct anything.
I'll request my deposit back now.
Thanks again,
