Bathroom suite question?

Hi , im moving into a new place soon and before i decorate i wanted a new bath and sink.

I know this may sound stupid but are all baths one standard size? as i want to buy one and then hire a plumber to fit this and obviously i dont want to get one which does not even fit.

Also please how much would it cost for a Plumber to Fit a bath and new Sink? ,its a small bathroom and i would like it tiled also but only a little bit a above the bath to save money.

I would perfer a shower but would this cost more to have the bath all removed and they a shower fitted with base etc

I was think of a roll tap bath but was wondering if this would be extra work for the plumber as i dont know where the pipe work would go as its just a normal standard plastic bath at the present time.

Im also considering a New toilet but im on a tight budget and i hope i can find a plumber who will do a good job but for good price if possible.

Thanks

at last count we did over 600 different sizes and shapes of bath so no, roll tops are more money for a good one anyway and with exposed pipework will cost more to fit

Thanks i will have a look , im just more concerned on how much a plumber will charge.

Im gonna give a roll tap bath a miss as the extra cost and also the shower ....

So if i buy a bath it may not even fit in the space the previous one is in? ......as its only a small bathroom ....getting stressed just thinking about it lol

Have a load of painting to do yet .....my friend thinks there nothing wrong with the current bathroom ...but i can see marks in bath which cant be removed and plus i hate being a bath some srunge as been in as previous person seemed a scrunge by the state of the place :rotfl:

Even though ive placed bleach in every crook crack and corner i still perfer a new suite.

Have you thought of getting the bath re-surfaced? If you ar ok with the style, colour etc. it may be a cheaper option.

I didnt know you could do that with plastic baths?

Plus i dont want to have to keep getting it re-surfaced every few years as it would end up costing more.
