Could someone have quick look at this laptop please

for the kids to use for internet games such as Moshi monsters etc, internet surfing, probably some youtube and to do homework on.

Would this one do the job? - have bought laptop from argos before and no probs with any refurbs from there.

    it won't set any world speed records (but it's quicker than anything I've got), but it'll easily cope with your stated useage :)

    Absolutely any modern laptop will do those tasks with ease.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Of all the specs (apart from the webcam resolution!) the one which stands out to me is the comparative slowness of the CPU. But for £230 you aren't going to expect a Quad Xeon!

    I would prefer one from their new C850 range. This sometimes come up for £230 on the Outlet(Only £250 new anyway). Then to spend an extra £10 or £15 for another 2GB or 4GB RAM respectively.
    Better specs all round. Better webcam, HDMI output, battery life, USB 3.0.
