"Out of interest, is anyone else keeping track of how much they are spending on this glitch? I ask as I did a few sums this evening and was surprised how much I have actually spent - what with starting off without an APG voucher for a few shops, messing a few up where items (or the whole shop due to messing up
) didn't match, and the difference between the APG voucher and overall spend due to fillers etc. Even a few pounds each time mounts up and I find generally either I stick with the voucher value, but the next one is lower value, or I spend more than the voucher to get a higher APG next time, in which case I have spent more up front again.
When you consider some of this is stuff that I wouldn't normally buy (so variations on cleaning products, more exotic choice of cereals, more expensive toothpastes etc) and the amount of time/petrol etc, I am beginning to question how much I am actually saving. A bargain is only a bargain if it is something that you would normally buy but cheaper :A."
Quote from last thread
A bit late now as we are what 5 or 6 weeks into this but I would thoroughly recommend everyone (especially newbies at this) keeps a spreadsheet / log of what they are spending - as you say all the 32p s and 80ps for the batteries plus the odd shop gone wrong it all adds up. It's very easy to convince yourself you've got a bargain and forget how much money you have spent chasing that bargain.
I have done all mine on a credit card so i have added it all up on there and it's a scary over £400 - BUT I do have a fair amount of APGs to cash in - plus i sold a few bits at the weekend
I reckon my outlay over 5 weeks is about £50 - which is basically the cost of all the bread, milk, and normal shopping that I have done with the glitches - so basically all the rest was free !!:DThe cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.

Morning everyone, thanks for the new thread:beer:
Barely kept up with the last thread but will try harder, only done a couple of online As shops but thanks everyone for all your hard work and info
And while I'm thanking, since finding you all about 15 months ago, I have saved so much money, have a healthy stash of everything I would never have been able to afford and cupboards and freezers stuffed with food, so thanks to you all and my DHs hard work we officially became debt free yesterday :T:T
Its an amazing feeling to know that every penny he makes now is ours (apart from normal household bills). Not only have we managed to pay all our debts of early, we have a nice chunk of cash for DSs 21st in a few weeks, paid our flights to America for xmas and have all our spending money ready to go! So thank you all from the bottom of our hearts xx
Well done Sharon - you and your family deserve a pat on the back for pulling yourselves out of debt :T:j:j:j:j0 -
