Morning everyone. Thanks Barbara for new thread.
Recently bought daughter a second hand bike for going backwards and forwards to college, but she needs some lights.
Are they all basically the same or are some better than others? Haven't been on a bike in years myself. Thank you.0 -
Good morning:) And thanks for the new thread, Barbara:T:A...reality is a point of view...0

I've been keeping track of my spending, £119 for £800 worth of goods. I wouldn't of bought branded items anyway(unless cheaper than tescos own) so I've saved myself £650 over the year. My outlay was much higher but I've done 2 car boots so I'm happy with the total now£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0

I just count up my rice pot's and think of each of those being a £10 shop :rotfl: but then there is all the shampoo from the a v t , assuming they are average £3 per bottle, I count the bottles, then of course the toothpaste
wish I had time for spread sheets , don't even have time for cleaning these days :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I like the idea of doing a spread sheet to try and keep track, it's usually 3 or 4 shops over a weekend and I was away for a week. Apart from a few occasions when I've paid cash when the final total has been less than a couple of pounds I've used the credit card.
It will be easier when the new Asda card arrives.
My Sainsburys card spend was down to £100 last month, from about £200 to £250, of this hundred only about £50 was food, the rest was petrol so what I am not spending in s I am using in a.
The main thing I've found is that a is so much cheaper, despite having to pay for parking and despite not getting nectar or clubcard points and despite having to go into a town I really hate, even when the glitch ends, I am a total Sada convertjubarnes26 wrote: »"Out of interest, is anyone else keeping track of how much they are spending on this glitch? I ask as I did a few sums this evening and was surprised how much I have actually spent - what with starting off without an APG voucher for a few shops, messing a few up where items (or the whole shop due to messing up) didn't match, and the difference between the APG voucher and overall spend due to fillers etc. Even a few pounds each time mounts up and I find generally either I stick with the voucher value, but the next one is lower value, or I spend more than the voucher to get a higher APG next time, in which case I have spent more up front again.
When you consider some of this is stuff that I wouldn't normally buy (so variations on cleaning products, more exotic choice of cereals, more expensive toothpastes etc) and the amount of time/petrol etc, I am beginning to question how much I am actually saving. A bargain is only a bargain if it is something that you would normally buy but cheaper :A."
Quote from last thread
A bit late now as we are what 5 or 6 weeks into this but I would thoroughly recommend everyone (especially newbies at this) keeps a spreadsheet / log of what they are spending - as you say all the 32p s and 80ps for the batteries plus the odd shop gone wrong it all adds up. It's very easy to convince yourself you've got a bargain and forget how much money you have spent chasing that bargain.
I have done all mine on a credit card so i have added it all up on there and it's a scary over £400 - BUT I do have a fair amount of APGs to cash in - plus i sold a few bits at the weekend
I reckon my outlay over 5 weeks is about £50 - which is basically the cost of all the bread, milk, and normal shopping that I have done with the glitches - so basically all the rest was free !!:D“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
