Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

    ...............................................

  • Hi all. Busy morning.

On way to work, I stopped off at a very large tesco at around 8.00 am as it was on the way. I bought 2 kleenex wipes (no sheets available!) at 1.49 each, some bread, and other items, and then I used two till spits. It went through fine. I paid for my shopping and got the wipes free! They didn't deduct 2.99 for each voucher, just 1.49 which is still good as the wipes were free and I got two more of those till spits. I don't use these wipes (i'm a soap and water kinda girl).. but will give them out as Christmas presents in a hamper type thing.

THEN.... got a call from Tesco head office on my mobile as I'd emailed them yesterday complaining. A lady called H.... told me that they'd had a huge nationwide problem with these kleenex blotting sheets. She told me that Kleenex were meant to have sent loads of these to the stores, but didn't. So she was blaming Kleenex/andrex .

She asked me how many of these vouchers I had... and I told her, 10. She said, oh dear.. well, I can't give you a refund for all of those.. but what I can suggest is that you go to Tesco Customer Services today and ask them if they can give you the blotting sheets as most stores would be getting them in today. Note.. she told me that I had to go to customer services to claim these blotting sheets. Hope that helps someone. She was also very apologetic. Failing that, she advised me that I could contact Kleenex and see if they can refund.

Having an eating problem this morning, as in I'm eating too much! I've just made my best ever banana loaf and have somehow managed to eat over half of it on my own! It is just so nice, I've never made one like it!

Try Brantano if there's one near you, big feet run in our family on both sides so we're completely scuppered - I'm a 9, both my brothers are a size 13-14 depending on the fit and the youngest always got his shoes from Brantano which went up to an 18 or Fashionworld which stocked up to a 14, hth.

What can I say. I like the tall ones with big broad shoulders, because I am tall and broad myself :rotfl:Makes me feel remotely feminine instead of feeling like a stereotypical javelin thrower :o

Off to SADA to see if they have Nivea face wipes, because clearly I do not have enough wipes :D

Afternoon all. Back from our trip to Weymouth, and had a lovely time. Met up with zippy and his DW, and got trouted on a T shop :rotfl:. For those of you that remember this from earlier in the year

We now have an update :D

I've only skimmed the last few days, but noticed that 'misery guts' has got a job, well done. Loved the pic of the young Percy. Hugs to the poorlies and sad peeps, sorry not to name names, but the hair colour, gender and age prevent the memory from working quite as well as it should.
I've still got a 'few' sada vouchers to use up, so will try to do a list of stuff we need, using other mocs as well, that will give back another apg. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
DH has been busy with his camera, so have another photo to post later. Got a couple of jobs to do first.
    See you later
