How do YOU keep track of threads???

I have read so many threads on the forums since I became an 'active' member. Some of these threads are sooo funny and I love to see where they have ended up. Some threads are just plain sad and sometimes I want to go back and see how people have got on. Sometimes the threads just have good old fashioned advice and some have links that I don't need when I read them, but perhaps a short while later, I would like to go back and read.
BUT, How the hell do you ever find them again?????????????
I have tried searching on the threads and the posts, putting in what I THINK, may be a subject word (it very rarely is lol). It takes sooo long I usually give up.
I know that if you post on a thread, the thread is 'ticked' and I know that if you thank a post, or post in a thread, you can find them by looking in 'my profile', but even these after a while take ages to trawl through.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could 'flag' the threads we are interested in but not subscribed to, like we can flag emails?
There could be another entry in the 'my profile' section next to thanked threads and threads posted that says 'threads flagged' with an option to delete them when they are finished with?
What do you think? And how do you keep track of threads?
ps, I am fairly new to posting, so if I have posted in the wrong place, please feel free to remove me
Thanks

Brilliant, that is an even quicker way of finding the threads I have posted to. There is still so much to learn about this site.
But what of all the threads that are followed but not subscribed to. It would be nice to find these as easily.0 -

You can subscribe to threads without getting email alerts or have a weekly email so that you don't get bombarded with emails if that is why you don't want to subscribe. Or is there another reason for not subscribing? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I'm new on here.
Are there any shortcuts or tips that anyone could tell me please?
How do you refresh a page that you are watching, for instance.

Sorry, think I have not made myself clear. I am follow certain threads without posting to them. I do not always want to post to the threads, but I wondered if there was a quick way of finding them later? It is sometimes difficult to search for them?
I already subscribe to the weekly email.0 -
You can subscribe to any thread using the menu under Thread Tools, at the top of the list of post on a page. From the Control Panel, you can make different folders and use them to partition up your subscribed threads.
I had no idea you could do all that malarkey. I just go back a couple of pages and catch up on all the threads, don't find it a problem.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -

As a previous poster said, when you read any thread there is a "thread tools" drop down menu. Click on this and choose "subscribe to thread", then even if you don't post on it you will get a subscribtion so when you go to "quick links" and choose "subscribed threads" it will be listed there.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Thanks Poppy9. I tried this when Alfie E suggested it but when I click on the thread tools, this is the drop down menu that I get:

Nowhere can I see subscribe to this thread. Perhaps I am missing something?0
