Hi folks,
I have a spare Hitachi sata hard drive, tested working fine in a computer, but bought this hard drive dock from Dabs so that I could use the Hitachi drive'

The dock recognises my hard drive no problem but the transfer speeds from my quad core computer are really slow just tried it now and its 770kB/sec thats less than a 1 MB a sec where as to my Seagate external drive it just flies along when transfering.
The usb cable from dock is hooked up direct to computer but makes no difference, must be a bottleneck in the dock somewhere do you think, have tried different usb ports as well on computer as well as a hub but no difference in speeds.
I know thats the dock is only usb 2.0 but surely that speed of 770kb/sec is not acceptable. I have tried a different usb cable but no difference.
Only cost a tenner but even at that price surely not much good to me. What do you think, just send it back to them?
Thanks for advice.
