Halogen or Xenon headlight

Hi, I'm trying to find out which bulb will give me the best nighttime lighting for my motorbike. My bike takes a 12v 35w/35w BA20D bulb. I would like to upgrade my bulb to either halogen or xenon but which is best? Does anyone have any real experience of the two bulbs?

Not sure as a replacement bulb, but just for the record, I got one of these:-

Absolute Dogs B&*&^x. *Much* better and safer; made a huge difference (albeit more expensive).

The only issue is that some MOT testers can get narky about it not being original so make sure yours is friendly

Those HID kits are starting to fail the MOT's
Poor beam patterns in units not designed for them.

Several guys on the club sites i use have been pulled for dodgy HID's.

Too much glare to drivers coming the other way.

Just fit what you have. Get uprated +30% units or +50% if you can.

Dont bother with the silly blue coated ones, The coating reduces light output.
