Need Ground cover Ideas
Options
Hi
We have a part of the garden measuring approx 6 metres by 7 metres (though not square), it has a couple of apple trees and a couple of large shrubs planted and has ground cover of weed suppresant matting coverd by hardwood bark chippings.
The bark covering has now been down for a few years and is turning to mush and dust, so we need something to replace it.....but it needs to be VERY, VERY cheap!
We don't really want ground covering plants, as we like to have a bench under the trees and like to walk around in the area. So any ideas anyone? P-L-E-A-S-E?

Here's a page of ground cover plants, most of them evergreen
