Capital One Credit Card - would I be able to make a claim?

Hi!
I'm totally confused about the PPI claiming thing. I had a credit card in 2007 with capital one that was recently put into a DRO.
I was wondering how I would know if I was charged PPI? Would it form part of the interest costs on the card, or would it come from a separate bank account (like an insurance policy)?
Thanks

Cap One cards were mostly sold online or mailshot. very few of their complaints get upheld.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
