tradesman won't accept credit card

  • I'm a tradesman, but do not accept cards, it would cost me £20-30 per month plus around 2% of all transactions to do so!

Heard of https://www.payatrader.com? No monthly fees and charges from 2.3%. For all sorts of reasons a good number of customers prefer to pay by card.

If you bought them from M&S with a M&S card, they've always been treated as a purchase.

    You're half way there then.

Next question is who do you have current accounts with? Hopefully either Nationwide or, even better, LTSB?
