You can make a wifi extender using cans. They're called cantennas.

    Link for different cans
    .

    Useful for wardriving.

you could always recycle them... they might be used to make an aeroplane!

Anthea Turner on her Perfect Housewife show suggested freezing water in the tin before punching holes in them, so that they don't crumple in the process. (She also used the times to make tealight holders).

I do that (although finding out that Anthea Turner makes them too has somehow taken some of the fun out of it :p )

I used some as stylish pen holders in my office. My office has silver as the colour scheme and the tins without their wrapping goes well here.

Hi, I have been wondering if there is any thing you could make with " old tins"
rather than recycling them. I have made a pen/pencil holder with an old Baked bean tin. Very Blue Peterish. But just wondered if there was anything else that tins could be used for. Any thoughts anyone?

Our previous church used to have an organ built in part by members of the congregation, and some of the pipes were made from baked bean cans.

Note this is NOT something I'd particularly recommend ...
