Which is the best free office software,i used to use open office which changed to apache(i think).Are there other options that don't take up as much space.

Libre Office is the one to use nowadays.

This gets asked a lot. For installed applications then LibreOffice/OpenOffice is the obvious choice. An alternative is to use "Cloud" services like Office Web Apps.0
