Hi All

Son got shoddy work on his car , going to small claims does that mean he has to go about with the shoddy work until the case is over?
Not going to do anything yet until we hear back from car place, but just wanting to know our options

Did he inspect the work before he paid for it? Has he complained about the standard of the job to the workshop?

He has to give them opportunity to put it right.

He's probably better off getting written proof that the work done is shoddy (from a reputable company), send them a copy, and ask them to put right what they've done wrong. Give them a reasonable timeframe of say 14 days. Go on to say that if they fail to do it within this timeframe, he'll take it elsewhere to get the work done, then take them to court for a refund for the work they did, plus any additional costs.

Make sure he's clear on why he thinks it's shoddy.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
