eBay - misleading listings

I remember seeing a Judge Judy clip on Youtube where someone got hauled in for putting up several listings for mobile phones with very tiny writing saying "just a picture of phone".
Judge Judy got her on listing the weight of the item as if it was the phone not the scrap of paper with a picture on it. There are some horrible people out there deliberately misleading and conning people out of money, nice to see one getting some come-uppance!
Can't find it now as I'm at work but I'm sure a search will turn it up for those interested.0 -
This used to be very common, especially for video games. Big long description, photo of game in box, then tiny note at end saying 'picture of game only'.
That kind of thing is absolute fraud in my opinion. I would report the listing to ebay. Chances are they will do nothing as they really don't give a toss as long as they make money, but it may be at least noted. You only have to look at the huge amount of fake/counterfeit items and obvious copyright breaches in listings to see that ebay are not that bothered.
If it was listed in Toys and Games though, it was an attempt at fraud in my view so worth reporting.0
