Car insurance renewal

hi, am up for renewal and my current insurer (quote me happy) is coming out the cheapest on the price comparison searches.
But the renewal email I got from them is not the same, is more expensive by £100! Same details submitted for both
Can I wait till my insurance runs out, then sign up again as if a new customer? Or am I obliged to take up their renewal price if I want to stay with them?
If I go in fresh again, I'll be able to get cashback through TCB (topCashBack) which is another reason to let it expire and do create a new insurance policy
any suggestions?
