Hi everyone, got a problem that's probably been asked a million times, wonder if you can give me some help with this one
I purchased an item on eBay on the 16th September, paid for it immediately as I always do when buying. the estimated delivery was between the 24th and 26th September.
As there was no notification of dispatch by the seller by the 25th I sent them a friendly message to ask if the item had been dispatched.
I received a reply on the 26th to say, the courier had arrived to collect whilst they had gone out on the school run (Thursday 20th) so they rearranged collection by my Hermes for Monday 24th, they told me they waited in all day, and the item had been collected, so it should be with me any day.
The dispatch notice was sent on Friday 28th, however, no tracking information was added.
I don't want to seem like I'm hastling the seller, but how long should I leave it before going back to the seller?
I'm a bit worried also as I've been on eBay for 4 years bought hundreds of items, got all positives (not much use now a days as sellers can't leave negatives) and up until the last 3 weeks, have never had to go into a dispute which I did for the first time 3 weeks ago for INR, this was after the seller ignored messages for a week but had been actively buying/ selling from the account judging by feedback, and only answered once the dispute was opened.
I don't want eBay thinking something fishy is going on as if this goes to dispute then that's 2 within 3 weeks
Thanks in advance for replies.

Personally, I think waiting 2 weeks for something that you paid for straight away is long enough. Fair enough, there was a problem with the courier but the seller should have contacted you to tell you that, not the other way round.
If it was collected Monday 24th, I would think it ought to be with you by now. I would contact them on Monday and ask for the tracking details. if they don't respond within a reasonable time (I normally think 48 hours is long enough) open an INR to force the issue.
My guess is that they actually didn't send it until 28th and it will turn up with you some time early next week. I guess the seller won't be getting 5 stars for dispatch on this one!"So long and thanks for all the fish" :hello:0 -
I'd just ask for the Hermes tracking number. If he can't give it to you, Item Not received dispute in PayPal.0

Thanks for your advice,
I messaged the seller yesterday morning to request any tracking information for the parcel but haven't had a response yet, If there's nothing by tomorrow night I will go through to the INR dispute.
Definitely not giving five stars for dispatch... If the item had arrived late but I had been contacted I would.0 -
I have now opened a dispute after no tracking information was entered and the seller didn't reply to my message on monday.
So I know its definitely not me not being thick... before I go back on the dispute and post the reply,
The seller has just responded with this:
"Good Afternoon, I can not stress how disaapointed I am by the service I have recived by the courier. If I had known the buyer was having difficulties in tracking the item of course I would have assisted. As stated in my e-mail of Monday, when I sent the tracking details. To summerise I have just has a vurtual conversation with a customer service representative at Parcels2go, she advised me that she was going directly onto the courier for a "sweep" to find the parcel, she has asked to give them three working days. I will chase it up on Monday, then either the buyer should have received the item with my apologies or I will issue a full refund with again, my apologies"
 I have received absolutely no emails! no private messages on eBay; and the tracking information still shows as : - -
Is there anywhere else this information could be shown?0
