Beales Store Card

My partner has held - and diligently maintained - a store card with Beales department stores for some years. This week she received a letter from the CEO of the store telling her that, as from 18th November, Beales are withdrawing the facility and replacing it with something called 'Love Rewards' - essentially a loyalty card.
All well and good, were it not for the fact that the company are demanding that all Account card holders repay their outstanding balance IN FULL by 18th November - less than 2 months notice.
She used the card a couple of weeks ago to make a major purchase - at no point was she told that the card was about to be withdrawn, or that the balance would be due in full on November 18th.
Does anyone have any ideas, tips, hints or simply help!!? Is this strictly legal?
Thanks in advance!

The website does say that the notice is given in accordance with the store card's T&Cs...does your partner have a copy? If they have acted in accordance with the T&Cs she agreed to when taking out the card I'm not sure there's much she can do other than call & ask them for a payment plan or similar. There is a number on the website:
What happens if I am unable to pay my account balance in full?
Any Customer who has a payment concern should telephone our Customer Accounts department on 01202 636 500 for advice and assistance.
