Now if you can live with that then OK, to me it is a very selfish attitude.
Do you spend all your time telling the same to all those who waste the NHS money going to their GP for a cold or to request antibiotics they don't need, those who waste GP and consultant's time and NHS funds trying to get funding for cosmetic surgery, those who get drunk and end up in A&E... I won't even bother to list all those people who cost the NHS a fortune because of neglect for their health.
What a horrible attitude to say such a thing. In the end, if the NHS failed the OP in a way that should have been prevented, then she deserves compensation.
Unfortunately OP, I am not sure you are still in a position to consider taking things further after 10 years has elapsed. It is not straight foward at all to win a legal battle against the NHS.0
