Indesit condensor dryer. Is it worth fixing it?

Who has told you that-without actually examining it first?
A decent condensor dryer (Bosch maybe) would be more than £300.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Yea but OP already stated it was a Indesit macman, think they start from around £160? so maybe with parts and labour may not be economical? but as you say hard to really put a cost on it without looking at it,although again looking at op's post it looks to me that has aked a firm a price and they are quoting a fee of £120 whatever it takes to fix it0 -
Had Hotpoint condenser which would not heat up, turned out to be thermostat problem.
Went on this site
http://www.espares.co.uk/parts/tumble-dryers/thermostats/indesit/p/1587/805
it also shows video on how to replace Thermostat,0 -
I had a hotpoint dryer (same company as Indesit AFAIK) with same fault - pulled off the element cover on the back and one of the elements was clearly broken. new Element kit including thermostats was £45 and took 10 mins to fit (unplug it first!) so if you're handy and are prepared to have a go, then worth doing; if you're paying somebody to come out, then I agree £120 is probably not worth it.0

Another for replacing the thermostat (less than £10) or in my case I needed a heating element (escaped bra wires destroyed element) and that cost £30 from spares2go on ebay I think.
The same company I'm sure had a video on amazon on how to fit it, and it's easy enough and I'm female.
Oh and mine was an Indesit condenser drier too.
Even have a look at you tube for video's how to fit, which will give you an idea of if you can do it or not.0 -

A very good reason for not buying another Indesit...No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I have an indesit condensor dryer and about 6 months ago it stopped blowing hot air, and blew cold instead. Also water was escaping from the back.
I got a quote which was £120, but the dryer only cost £200, so i didnt see the point.
Then, ii came on here (under a different username at that time) and a lovely gentleman helped me out by telling me what was wrong, and pointed me in the right direction of what part to order.
All in all, it took about 1 hour of my time, and the part cost me approx £27.
6 months later, it still works perfectly
EDIT- oh i think it was a new pump i needed. You can get them from here:

It's not the pump, from the symptoms described. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
