HTC Sensation

Hi
Would anyone like to give me opinions on the HTC Sensation? The older model, not the XE Beats Audio version.

I like to buy Smartphones when they are around a year old, when they are about the 150 pound mark second hand. Got an HTC Desire that way last year and it has worked fine, but has some serious limitations:

- Tiny amount of internal memory means you can only use limited numbers of apps and it's always running out of internal memory.
- I'm a huge Spotify fan now, but find the audio quality horrible (using half decent Sony headphones and they work OK on other devices, so it's not the headphones)
- No front facing camera
- Bad sound quality too on it's internal speaker
- Pretty poor results from it's camera
- Having your hand in the wrong place seems to make it drop the wifi signal when you are not right next to the base station

Think an HTC Sensation is my answer for 150 quid?

Amazon gives it half decent reviews. Poor battery life, but I'm never far away from a charger and I believe there's a 3rd party battery that vastly increases it's battery life.

I thought about the Samsung Galaxy S2, but it's more expensive and I read some bad things about it's audio quality.

Thanks all.

I've got one and I think it's great. If they're worth around £150 now that's even better. It was the first dual core Android I think, and didn't get much benefit from it, but now does as software has been written to take advantage. Great screen, runs ICS better than Gingerbread. I don't know of any phone with good sound quality from their speaker, it's great through headphones though. I bought a spare battery for mine, but unless you're going mad on it it'll last a day no problem - I think smartphones are all like this really.
I've got a couple of dents on mine on the case, but the screen is perfect. Don't think I've ever actually used the front camera! I should sell you it as I'm after an upgrade already (for something a bit bigger) and still have 6 months to go...

I have the Sensation that is the older model. I mainly use it for internet on the train etc and to be honest I cannot fault it. The screen is big and you can zoom in and it'll resize the page for you no problem. It breezes through all the websites I like to frequent. One thing I would suggest though, is, if you go on the internet and use your mobile network connection, then I would upgrade the stock battery and get a battery thats 1900-2400Mah if you can.
