I understand the frustration but I can't see that there's anything to be gained by taking it further. Complaining won't result in you getting the overdraft so ask yourself what you hope to get out of the process.
  • OP in post 1 you state monthly salary of £2000.
Had you applied for an O/D in that figure you may well have that agreed. An O/D facility of double your wage is pushing it a bit.

To earn two grand salary you must have a decent job so why would you want to waste the ombudsman's time with such a frivolous case?

It will waste their time, they won't get involved because it outside their jurisdiction and you clog the system up for more deserving cases.

Requesting an overdraft that is double your monthly income was never going to be agreed.

... and some people have replied giving an answer to the original question (£4k o/d on £2k salary), rather than grandmaster2020's question.

Grandmaster - it's generally best to start a new thread, as it saves people from getting confused between your question and the original one.
  • Thanks everybody for the replies. Point taken on board about the time wastage.

Sorry about posting my query in the old thread. I thought since it is a similar case will help others to comment on the same issue.

    Cheers again.

But I Clear £1700 a month in Lloyds yet they still give me nearly double that In an overdraft, but TBH I do think Lloyds banking group are more generous with offers then any other banking group.
