Help - I think we made a mistake

Hi,
A friend of mine recently received a letter from the Consumer Complaints Division of Bank Smart. It was very officlal and included their name & address as well as the details of the loan and the broker who dealt with the loan. It said they had been asked to write to them regarding the loan and said that it was likely that the loan included PPI. The letter invited them to simply complete form "A2933 - Third Party Authorisation and Agreement - Multi". They completed and sent this (two days ago) on Friday and when I found out I read the letter. There is no mention of any costs attracted to their 'assistance' in the claim but I am sure, having read many posts regarding Bank-Smart they will be looking to charge for their services. I want to know if this can be cancelled - I think they were wholly misled by the letter and have been 'duped' into getting this company to act when they can simply make the claim on their with minimal effort. Is there anything that can be done? What is the process by which we can cancel the authorisation? Any help would be greatfully received.

Like anything else, there should be a cooling period.
I'm sure someone will know more about this and will post up soon, so I would try cancelling just in case as soon as.
