...about new legislation? Just got my first letter and intend to ignore but what happens after Oct 1st? Will they be able to enforce charge legally? Will I have to do more than just ignore? Dont want to have to start writing to other bodies. Any advice? New to this. Thanks.

The Protection of Freedoms Act will not be retrospective and will only apply to PPC tickets issued after 1st Oct.0

Thanks for the info and a big thanks for the swift response. So the upshot is just keep ignoring! Thanks again.0

and keep on ignoring afterwards, pofa changes a few things, but an unenforcable invoice based on a penalty clause in a contract is still un enforcable. From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
why would you not want to ignore a FAKE ticket/invoice,its nor real,so worry not.0

Congrats, you are the only newbie to post this question for today. Wonder who will ask it again tomorrow? It's like groundhog day here again at the moment.
This question is asked every day at the moment. Here's just one recent thread & advice which you find by an instant search:

There is nothing to worry about at all, as others have said these fake PCNs are no more enforceable than they ever were.
It's just that the registered keeper and driver can ignore them now, rather than only the driver before.
And that if a PPC happens to be a BPA member and in the AOS scheme there will be an independent appeals procedure called POPLA, being run by LondonCouncils.
We will be encouraging as many people as possible to appeal this way if their PPC is in the AOS scheme. Partly because it will expose PPCs dodgy paperwork & sneaky practices, partly to increase the chance of cancellation and partly because it costs each PPC over £32 every time, whatever the outcome.
And the outcome is only binding on the PPC, not the motorist who can revert to 'ignore mode' knowing he has cost the PPC money! :rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
