Exactly my point. The Virgin card is a simple 0.8% back, no fee, no minimum spends, and I don't see how it's morally wrong as they even say "you can choose to donate the cash back to charity or keep it for yourself".
So with that in mind, I don't see why it doesn't end up in the article.0 -
Do remember that Virgin is likely to be making its own cut of profit out of this card, not operating it with zero profit. The charity bit is to appeal to consumers while Virgin makes money from those it sells on the concept to.0

I'm inclined to agree with this, fair enough there's cards (Capital One Aspire World for example) which offer a decent initial incentive, but the ongoing cashback is only good if you spend big money each year.
The only really good ongoing one for low spenders, from what I can see, is the Aqua reward - 3%. Only a max of £100, but still a pretty decent return.
I, too, don't see how it's morally wrong either, after all, charity begins at home0
