Downlights in bathroom not working

Hello,

I have four downlights in my bathroom, installed by the previous owner. Two of the downlights, in a row, have stopped working.
I have swapped one of the working bulbs into one of the non-working holders and it does not work.

I have ordered new bulbs but feel that they will not work after doing the above test this morning. What else could be stopping the two bulbs in the row from working?

Thanks for reading and any replies received.

And if you try the non-working bulbs in the working fittings you will probably find that all four bulbs are good.

The problem is most likely with the transformer in the ceiling void, or in the loft, that feeds the two non working lights.
  • I tried as you suggested swapping bulbs between the working and non-working fittings and they did not work.
Regarding a problem with a transformer - how do I fix it?

With all due respect if you don't know the answer to that then please don't get involved in trying to fix it, this stuff bites, and sometimes once is enough.

Quite likely to be a burn out due to poor crappie chinese connectors.

    Get help.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
