DD has asked for a printer for christmas.
Havent a clue, so would love some advice please.
Would like to spend about £50 but would go up to £75 max £100. Also would love the ink not to cost the same as a small country. No doubt she will be printing everything off she can while its a novelty.
Thank You

Would she like an all in one
Will photos be printed
Will compatible inks be used
Is wireless needed0 -
Well
all in one would be good if its not too expensive.
Photos could be printed yes, that would be good if possible.
Compatible inks would be good too if they were cheaper.
Either, would sticking a lead in not be easier tho?
Thank YOU :-)0 -
These two have similar tech specs, the difference being number of nozzles and droplet size, though hard to tell the difference in output unless using a magnifying glass.

This has double sided printing and a built in CD tray, it will output better quality images as it uses 6 inks.

The top two use four inks but will produce acceptable images when the correct settings and paper are used
Cheapest seen but out of stock here, though check for better prices

Maybe worth asking if they will get more stock, or will order one in if you confirm you will be buying it
Compatible inks are widely available, expect to pay £4 a set for the top two and £7 for the PX730WD set
An option for photo paper

I get my inks from choose-your-colours on ebay, 12 inks for about a tenner, never had a problem with them.

My Epson RX685 has just stopped working- no power, tried everythiing including different power cable, etc that I know work.
So looking for a new all-in-one printer and I think I might go for the CANONPixma MG5250 on sale at PC world for £69.99.
Any thoughts?0 -
If I change from Epson it will be to Canon
That's a good price and compatibles are around £7:50 a set if you will be using those

My Canon Pixma MP250 has just stopped recognising USB connections so it's for the scrapheap. Turns out it's a common problem according to the web but none of the common workarounds seems to work.My Epson RX685 has just stopped working- no power, tried everythiing including different power cable, etc that I know work.

Shame as most people say good things about Canon. .There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Tesco had\have? (especially larger stores) Epson SX445W's for £49. All in one, wireless, does the lot and dirt cheap compatible ink. I don't believe there is a better buy anywhere, I bought two!0
