Car insurance query

Bit of a frustrating one this and not sure what we're meant to do.

So I had a crash on the very last day of my current car insurance year - just a little one going into the back of someone, everyone's fine and the damage to her car in the late hundreds.

I have changed insurance company for my next year and sorted out this out a couple of weeks ago - based on 2 years NCD.

Now if I claim on my now old insurance company, do I then have to inform my new insurance company about this, or as the price has already been agreed do I not need to inform them?

Cheers

Adam

Yes you should have already informed both companies. Do so before they find out via the third party to save any possibility of them voiding your policy.

And If any claim arises from the crash which your old company has to pay out for then you will have nil ncd for the current policy rather than the 2 you have claimed.

If you dont inform them and need to make a claim they can say your not insured because you failed to declare this incident.

Couple of months back someone on here got a bill for £6000 for a minor incident. Because they failed to declare all the facts.
