(Free ?) Breakdown Cover

I need breakdown cover for my 1 year old car - I was covered by RAC for the first year.
I have been offered RAC comprehensive cover for £129 for the next two years - which is tempting but still too much
I read stories in this forum of people using discounts and cashback and end up getting cover for less than zero - ie) Actually getting paid for taking out cover - is this really possible ?
Any comments/advice welcome ....

I've just taken out breakdown cover with Green Flag through Quidco. It cost £67 and if the cashback pays out I will get £50 back. The £67 was a good price for the level of cover anyway.3 stone down, 3 more to go0

Provided Quidco pays out, which it will hopefully. You should get an email from Quidco soon after you take the policy out. It contains a link and you need to click on it and put some details in. Make sure you do this or the cashback will not be paid.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Just haggled with the AA as my breakdown cover due dec. For two people covered on one car and motorcycle, got roadside assistance and relay in uk. Knocked it down by nearly half price. Apparently it was going up in price too £177, over my dead body. My husband had to hand the phone to me he got a good deal, but i got one better!0
