Is your GP unable to assist any further without doing anything radical?
I have regular vitamin B12 injections for my anaemia as I can't absorb it from food properly due to an issue linked to my coeliac disease.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes I have B12 every 10 weeks as I also have pernicious anaemia too. I am well looked after by my GPI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

I remember something about thyme being rich in iron but certain people should avoid it but can't remember who. Also Spinach, pumpkin seeds, pure cocoa powder and sun dried tomatoes to name a few.0

Floss - thanks for the recipes.
Yes I had also read about Thyme too. I have put a list together so have much more of an idea now.
It does seem to be dangerous in high doses http://www.springboard4health.com/notebook/herbs_thyme.html

I am vegetarian too and I find wheatgrass and spirulina supplements fantastic. I just put a teaspoon of them each in vegetable juice. You can get them from healthfood shops or online. Wikipedia have their nutritional content and their other health benefits. HIH
