hi everyone
this is a lovely thread. I have been doing a lot of pound stretching lately and it is extremely encouraging to see the success you all have had, particularly the consistency over the recent months
I am tentatively peeking at ebay and I would appreciate any tips you may have for someone never having used ebay for anything but buying
If nothing else, thank you for an encouraging discovery2013 Wombles onto Giftcard Challenge £0/£1200 -
Chuffed as I've just sold a pair of jeans on FB for £12, had to deliver but only a few streets away but mind you I think they lady had been having a wee tipple and when I got home notice she paid me 20p extra so had to laugh at that.
Normally I don't deliver unless it's not going out of my way but I thought why not this once. I don't know why folk expect things deliverd. I've even seen soem asking on the free ads!
Today I listed 10 items on fleabay so fingers crossed x
Still looking for referrals to pinecone etc but no luck.0 -
Plmbl - I can only echo what everyone else has already said, and it must be heartbreaking for it to have happened again
Definitely take some time out to relax and look after yourself, and let those around you support you.
No money making here at Monkey HQ today, although did the main monthly shop, and the trolley was literally FULL, so I was dreading how much it was all going to come to, seeing as usually it's so easy to spend £30 when we've just popped in for milk, bread and a few veggies, so I was really pleased that it came in at just slightly over £100. Will need to do the usual fruit and veg, milk and bread etc top ups during the month, but we did really well with that last month, so fingers crossed again for this month. Even an extra £50 throughout the month will make it around £150, for a family of 4 (2 adults, toddler and baby) for 4 weeks, which I think it acceptable.
Saying that, I hope now everyone won't read it and think, err no what's she on about, that's loads. It includes everything, lunches as well. Although doesn't include the babies milk.
I know it could be done cheaper, but I have to try and find the balance between keeping my OH happy, and not spending too muchHe's a big meat eater, so does get a bit put out eating my 'hunt the mince' spag bol etc, but she's learnt to shut up and just eat up most of the time
I will try and make the time to be a couponite again too, see what freebies I can get.

Well I'm adding £20 of what I made yesterday to the pot - taking £5 for materials and cost
So think that makes my total £44 for the month so far - so £44/£155
£111 to go!

Will go for £10-£20 next month.0 -

PLMBL I'm really sorry to hear your news. My thoughts are with you.
Some of my ebay listings ended today and 3 have paid so that's £8.93 into the pot.
Have also checked topcashback and have £6.11 waiting to be paid. As I want an xbox game off Amazon soon I've chosen to have it paid in Amazon vouchers so it's increased to £6.42! Every penny counts n that!2015 Wins
